S.P.I can offer 1day - 2day or 3day intensive courses that cover the every day situations that a mobile locksmith will experience. All of our courses will be extremely beneficial towards individuals seeking to create a mobile locksmith service for their local area.

Our senior Instructor has gained sound knowledgement of the Locksmith Trade while providing services to business such as: Essex and Inner London Councils, Essex and The Metropolitan Police Services, Utilities Companies with regards to Warrant work and Bailiff support. Having gained PTTLLS Training Qualification you can be rest-assured that all courses supplied by S.P.I are both structured and delivered in a professional manner, meeting your requirements in helping you achieving a goal of creating your own business in a ever busy Industry.

The course’s are limited to 4 students, this small group ensures that all that attend have maximum attention of the senior instructor and that a good learning environment is created. Our courses are vey much ‘hands on’ as this is the best way to learn the correct use of tools and practicing methods on entry which we teach.

We provide course notes and other items to help the every day lock openings. Discussed throughout the course are steps of creating a business as well as how to gain and create work opportunities ‘tips and advise that works’. The S.P.I course is very much 'hands on', we have mock-up doors to practice all techniques demonstrated, and supply all training tools for the duration of the Course. At the end of all courses participants will receive a company recognised certificate which will enable you to trade direct as a locksmith.

Course Content:
The course is split into three modules:
Module 1 (day1) Covers:

  • Approaching jobs /Law/Customer Relations
  • Explanation of Rim Cylinders
  • Rim Night Latches
  • Explanation of Euro Cylinders
  • Key Part naming
  • Stripping Down/Rebuilding a Cylinder lock
  • Explanation of Cylinder locks picking techniques
  • Opening of a Garage/Cabinet Lock
  • Cylinder locks picking using a Pick Gun Manual and Electric
  • Explanation of Basic Key Mastering System
  • Demonstration of Lock Bypass techniques
  • Euro Cylinder Change/MPL Measurements/Ordering details
  • Key Cutting (Bump Keys)

Module 2 (day2) Covers:

  • Explanation of a mortise dead / sash lock
  • Key part naming
  • Stripping down of a 2/3 lever lock
  • Opening of 2 /3 lever Lock
  • Creation of a Service kit using interchangeable parts
  • Explanation /Demo of a number of By-pass technique
  • BS3621 Insurance Rated Locks (Lock recon + Drilling Points)

Module 3 (day3) Covers:

  • Fitting of a Rim cylinder and Night latch
  • Fitting of a mortise Lock and furniture
  • Fitting Digi Lock installation
  • Non destructive opening (Picking) of BS3621 Insurance rated locks
